After a diagnosis of autism, some autistic people can doubt their diagnosis. Years of internalized ableism, unconscious masking, and doubts from others can contribute to a feeling of being an imposter.

Have you ever dealt with it?

@autism101 @actuallyautistic I never ask for a diagnosis, but I am pretty sure to be on the spectrum, to a point that I would doubt if I was diagnosed as not being in it.

What's the worse between being wrong thinking that you have autism, or all your family and friends being wrong thinking that you don't?

My impostor syndrome says he is more afraid of the former.

As autistic people, we don’t need to apologize to others for our differences.
