So y'all may or may not have noticed I haven’t been around on here as much, especially since Sunday. That's because I am now officially a paid app tester! I’m working on an app to make the character sheet accessible for blind players. It's amazing how fast a work-day goes when you're working in your ! @actuallyautistic

It's . I'm still vaguely taken aback (and, conversely, not at all surprised) that I belong to this tribe, for want of a better word. It must be in the family as another member was diagnosed recently. I wish I'd known earlier that I was a giraffe living in a society built around ostriches and that being unable to lay eggs does not mean that I am failing or deficient in any way.

@caity @actuallyautistic @Richard_Littler I was diagnosed with ADHD not long ago either but it explains a whole lot. Knowing that its just how my brain works makes me feel good, but I'm still learning how to work with this new found wet wiring.

I'm trying to think of a title for my new book club. The two titles I've been juggling around so far are:

  1. All Booked Up:
    I love this title because of the double meaning on our passion and how much time we dedicate to it. I also just love the phrase.
  2. The Cagey Pagers:
    First, I think this is just a cuel, fun freaking title. Obviously if you want to take things literally, this just sounds like we're a bunch of cautious beepers that are afraid of going off, but what I really think it embodies is a person who plows through pages, sharing what they feel is most important about their reading experience with each book, not throwing it all over social media sites to be skimmed over by the masses. Both titles are great, but I'm still trying to decide which one to choose. Thoughts?
    Also, I'll be posting my tentative book themes for each month of 2024 shortly, so if you are interested in joining, let me know. There won't be a chat group for people to unintentionally overload with a bunch of messages, but there may be a telegram channel that will announce upcoming book club meetings or updates to the genre/theme selection.

@desertstar84 hmm. Yeah, that makes sense. The first one sounds more welcoming and has the word book in it which makes it easier to advertise if that's what you want to do also, can I join? I'd love to read new books, but haven't really had the motivation to do it. At least having friends who are into books helps. I love reading normally, but its been a few weeks.

@MirrorAyako @allstartrek That's not bad. In my opinion, its normal. It could also be because going to a doctor is always murder on your blood pressure and you needed time to cool down. I'm not surprised. I had to do the same after I came back from the doctor's office on Monday and all I really got was an A1C, and a flew shot besides my official diagnosis.
