Monstrous Regiment, by Terry Pratchett, is on sale for 5$ aton LibroFM.

This is Terry at his best and at his most feminist and anti war.

It is the new version of the Aduiobook. Narrated by:

Katherine Parkinson, Bill Nighy & Peter Serafinowicz

Of all Terry Pratchett's works, I think Monstrous Regiment is his finest. As well as the feminist and anti war themes, it is one of the most intelligently funny books I have ever read. Everyone needs their "socks"!

Best books read in October, #1 -
Terry Pratchett: A Biography with Footnotes by Rob Wilkins

So good, but bittersweet knowing how it would end.

@lorywidmerhess @bookstodon I agree. Rob Wilkins's biography beautifully fleshed-in the back story of this massively talented man. I feel the richer for having read it.

I have been massively enjoying this rerun of the radio series on @BBCRadio4 of the much missed + @neilhimself 's genius book .
It's been wonderful to introduce a whole new generation to both Pratchett and Gaiman's work.
A big recommend if you haven't read/heard it.

(Have not seen TV series so can't compare to that)

FWIW, the adaptation of Good Omens is probably my favourite. I have read the book & seen the TV version, but the radio adaptation wins for painting mind pictures & humour. If you are a fan of and haven't heard it, do listen.
