Am enjoying the Irish words in Ogham written in the St Gall Priscian manuscript during the 9th century. This one, „latheirt“, means „killed by beer“, or in other words: „I have a hangover“.

@litteracarolina @historikerinnen @medievodons @histodons being part way into a beer, and not having great vision anymore, I first read that as "killed by a deer". Which would be interesting, too 🦌💀

But the deer version would dovetail nicely with responding "doe!" (See d'oh! for those who haven't watched The Simpsons)
