It’s a typical shounen with all it’s troupes and cringy narrative. The start shouldn’t shock people. It actually manages to grab people quickly enough compared to other shounens at their beginning.

Over the years the story matures and develops accompanying their audience. The beginning was for teens and now it still has the same fans and followers that are in their thirties.

It’s hard for shows that are so long lived to maintain their engagement.

Oh, I though this was going to be about the manga I was reading yesterday about being banished from the hero’s party and fucking the hero’s mom.

In many of my laptop setups I’ve also solidified around similar setup: 200 or 500 mb efi + luks with lvm with root and home volumes. Swap is a file which makes everything easy without having to care about another partition and is automatically encrypted since it stays on root.

Partition formats is always ext4 since there’s no need for anything else. Tried btrfs in the past and it had problems, more than it solved, and xfs years ago regularly had problems corrupting files when power went off. I swore on never using any of those 2 again.

Yeah, 32g is barely enough for what I do daily at work, so I have similar amount of ram combined with similar amount of swap file so I can safely hibernate even when the ram is full.

No one is going to feed you content. It’s a different way to think and consume media. You just gotta start following people or hashtags and see which content and people are posting things that interest you. Go the the local feed of the instance of the world feed and watch things unfold.

But you gotta bootstrap it. There’s a lot of interesting people and content in it.

There’s a few sites that help with discovery by listing relevant people and topics.

There’s hashtags important to follow at the start, for example where lots of posts trying to help new people and guiding them appear.

I know it may hurt a little at the beginning, but it’s so worth it and rewarding. So, don’t quit and give it a little bit to grow on you. It’s a new experience so not everything will feel similar to what one knows previously.

And, the amazing thing that on mastodon one being able to directly interact and comment on lemmy posts is just mind-blowing.
