If Luna is like Earth, with atmosphere, trees, animals, water, and everything that will support life, how do you think life in Earth-Luna will be?

  1. Will Lunans reach Earth first, or will Earthlings reach Luna first?

  2. Is Earth going to be united and wage war on Luna? Or, a Lunan Empire trying to conquer Earth, will force Earth to unite?

  3. Is there going to be cultural exchanges and trades between Earth and Luna?

  4. What if Luna is superior in knowledge and technology than Earth? Are Earthlings going to accept Lunans are superior?

  5. Will humanity (assuming Lunans are humans too) have colonised Mars already with their combined knowledge and technologies?

What do you think?

Oh. Before you answer, let's make this entire thread under a 4.0 ( ) . So, if someone wants to write a story based on the answers here (if there will be any), it's shareable and attribution is given. ^_^

Or, maybe you have book recommendations about such a setup like above?

Whilst Earthlings like to say they had the first recorded moon landing, the reality is: nobody knows. Luna folklore has always had it that many eons ago, their people landed in the “Swirls in the sky”, to use their poetic cliche for Earth. Certainly, their annals had very precise descriptions of rats (“four legged mini persons”) clutching pizzas (“triangular nourishment”) and running for trains (“tunnelular transportation”), but no one could be certain it wasn’t based off a Disney broadcast. But when the Luna army landed on Earth, they did seem to know precisely how to use the New York subway system to reach Times Square, a feat no tourist from Philly could ever accomplish, let alone visitors from another realm. Which brings us to the second point.

Of course, they had announcements everywhere- in UN General Assembly, NYT, TikTok, even on that Lemmy instance your university buddy set up 3 months back - but no one could agree who’d lead the effort. US naturally said they should, being the biggest, mightiest and haughtiest of nations. But China chipped in, saying you should compare this in PPP terms. Besides, the Chinese calendar is based on the moon, unlike the Gregorian one. India jumped at that, saying we too have a lunisolar calendar, besides …

@youronlyone @bookstodon @books @writers @writing … Besides, India said we landed near the South Pole. Ah, said China, not at the South Pole now was it? And it’s not as if you have a good track record winning wars in sub-zero conditions do you, which made India seethe.

UAE then stepped in and said, hey we too launched a satellite and our calendar is lunar too. At which point Israel said, yo yo, are we basing this on calendars now, pointing at their own lunisolar calendar.

Russia then started speaking up but ended up bellowing something incoherent about being larger than Pluto, to which Canada was tut-tut-ing when Britain tried to say all this business about having large swathes of land isn’t as great as you’d think, to which EU said, oh you think so now, do you. Meanwhile, African, LatAm and Asian nations tried to speak, but no one could hear them above the melee… you get the idea.

Everyone agreed being united was the right approach, but no one could agree on who should lead. So they left it at that.
