there’s also a fair number of students and graduates from certain countries or related to certain peoples that he might want to help in exchange for who-knows-what.

the one thing that is certain, is he isn’t proposing it for the benefit of ‘immigrants’ or ‘foreign students’ or even for the betterment of america… but rather, for himself. it’s always about him.

“%userprofile%\Saved Games” exists, but most games that i’ve seen don’t use it by default, or even can’t use it due to its own shortcomings.

i saw that on a new install of the ‘non-sub’ office last month. stupid af, just another way of scamming for subscriptions.

you’re actually helping by lowering the amount of revenue they have to shuffle offshore and hide from the feds.

HP bricks ProBook laptops with bad BIOS delivered via automatic updates — many users face black screen after Windows pushes new firmware (www.tomshardware.com)

On May 26, a user on HP’s support forums reported that a forced, automatic BIOS update had bricked their HP ProBook 455 G7 into an unusable state. Subsequently, other users have joined the thread to sound off about experiencing the same issue....

we’ve had clients have their dell systems bricked from bios updates. it’s not just hp.

at least dell (reluctantly) offered free repairs, even out of warranty, on those models at the time. ‘repair’ being motherboard swap plus shipping both ways if not covered by an onsite warranty plan.

i still have one of those ‘repaired’ systems here. user gave it to us years after it got fixed. it just sat, unused, once they got it back as they bought a new one due to the lengthy turnaround they were quoted.

do they even use ‘dualbios’ anymore? all i’ve seen lately is ‘q flash’ (for updating bios without a cpu or video present) on their boards.

Automakers prefer not to produce or sell smaller cars because it doesn’t make sense for some reason

it’s mainly two things:

automakers and their dealers make significantly more profits off of big cars and trucks,

and then also the typical buyer mindset that bigger is better.

and the sprint (the earlier version of a metro) before that, even… in the 1980s.

win 11 adoption must be pretty bad if they have to do their new features beta testing on win 10 (which should be on a security updates/show-stopper bugfix only policy by now) instead.

probably conned bytedance or some of its investors into believing his presence would boost transaction value of the likely spinoff or sale of the site… and he’d join it—for a price.

sure sounds like he’s sending a ‘message’ to the cult here of what to do if he actually gets locked-up.

i worked on a pc used by an older, very “conservative” woman awhile back. needed help with her facebook accounts (plural), among other things. she had vpn clients, multiple browsers. tor, the whole bit on there.

it would be one thing if she was just passing tracts, but she was all-in on the fake news, trump, anti-vax, the border, jan 6 and ‘the steal’… basically the whole far-right agenda. and she was spreading that manure far and wide.

the kicker: she’s an employee of a local catholic parish.

‘trump’ is a term used in card games. it’s a card (usually an entire suit) that ranks higher than the rest in that game (or in some games… just an individual hand of a game).

step one for me is get out last year’s so i have a point of reference. just do the same thing again. numbers are a bit different, but the general ‘what-goes-where’ is usually the same–unless they split a form into multiple pages, or add an extra page to one.

once i get the new blank forms printed, it’s about 15 minutes for me to fill-out, copy, and stuff inside an envelope. this year’s added yet another sheet, i had to use a flat instead of the usual . cost more to mail, too, but i will not ever ‘e-file’.

one of the few perks of being poor—easy taxes.

the url needs a param to tell the server what kind of query is being requested. as long as they have the ‘web’ tab and option, it will be there. but i’m guessing they will come up with a way to encode that instruction in the tracking bits or something so you can’t just manually tack something on to the end of your query url and bypass their precious a.i. bot
