No he was creating free locates for market makers with tokenized securities that had no backing, that still haven’t been resolved and the equity swap data that could also show more fruadelent uses of this shit keeps getting delayed by the ctfc. He’s gonna get house arrest and nice service for his part in helping market makers fleece more people.

SmoothIsFast ,

He made the same mistake Madoff did

Also what the fuck are you talking about here? Madoff turned himself in because no one in the SEC would look at the DTCCs books. Not to mention his other fleece of payment for order flow is now an industry standard for almost all brokers and market makers.

SmoothIsFast ,

Hate to break it to you, ftx’s biggest scam was in tokenized securities still being traded today and being used as free locates for market makers without any real shares backing these things. Wall Street is so fucking corrupt its not even funny.

SmoothIsFast ,

I don’t blame North Koreans for being in a dictatorship, why would I blame Palestinians?

SmoothIsFast ,

No as ublock has stated you are using other extensions that are tripping detection, ffs 😑

SmoothIsFast ,

When internally, you have multiple teams competing, you get the following lmaoo

images.app.goo.gl/UNHdEde5gUodGhhx5

SmoothIsFast ,

They were making a joke about units and the use of a lowercase m instead of an uppercase M for Megabits per second…

SmoothIsFast ,

Don’t forget if you can get them to ipo, open a family office and setup some equity swaps with the bank to short over the float of the company without having to report it and rake in profit as they collapse from your untenable growth targets as well while letting the ip get gobbled up by your big chips and find the next sucker pitching his ‘big idea’.

SmoothIsFast ,

Without VCs, many of those homeruns would never be able to get off the ground and the US economy would be significantly less dynamic

Um if we instead taxed those VCs setup a government fund and grant program instead you would have greater innovation, more equitable access and a better solution. VCs siphon IP and manage where wealth can be consolidated, it’s a pretty basic concept.

SmoothIsFast ,

People in extreme poverty world-wide are less than 10% and lessening over time. The majority of people don’t have an intolerable or abhorrent life.

Ah yes when you state the world extreme poverty level at $2.85 a fucking day. What fucking fantasy world do you live in??

Neither do majority of people work more than 80 hours a week

Are you just retarded? The majority working over 80hrs a week are low skilled laborers working multiple jobs to make ends meet, tell me all about there amazing life when 2/3rds of the work week is just straight work which doesnt yeild enough time for a proper 8hrs of sleep when accounting for getting ready, eating, commuting or taking care of family?

SmoothIsFast ,

Eh musk can show you how you can lose billions in a couple years, what they can spend it on is different from you and I but I do agree they should not exist at all.

SmoothIsFast ,

Wait till you see the shit they pull on Wall Street with your 401k and the market in general. Did you know 90% of trades occur off market and do not hit the tape to affect the prices of stocks? Did you know Bernie Madoffs’ invention of payment for order flow is the default model in your market now? Did you know market makers have an exemption to create fake shares for “liquidities” sake. Did you know if you aren’t selling or buying in lots greater than 100 you most likely do not effect a stocks price if you are buying with a broker utilizing pfof (basically all of them) yet your financial news will claim retail moves markets.

SmoothIsFast ,

If you want a dose of memes with it you could always read the superstonk dd library on the stock market as well.

SmoothIsFast ,

No it doesn’t, historically people have literally burned down factories and assaulted those who were replacing their jobs.

Because capitalism doesn’t provide a safety net for when you job is gone…damn you are fucking stupid

SmoothIsFast ,

He is helping fascism… it’s planned not unexpected

SmoothIsFast ,

Realistically until we can move past religions its not going to stop. When you create constant in groups and out groups you are going to have conflict and blame wars. Until we can view each other as equals and for that to happen either everyone has to be under the same religion or we accept religions were a terrible form of government that need to be abandoned. And then we might just see rampant racism at that point if education is not properly funded and supported following the fall of religions. Then it would be nationalism until we can globally unite, and then still we will run into small groups of uneducated people who will be easily swayed allowing these bullshit issues to propagate again but hopefully not at the same level. Not that it’s reassuring but we have massive issues that need to be addressed for this shit to end and as billionaires profit from uneducated laborers, until we get to post scarcity for our species I don’t know if it will end.

Bud Light brewer is still struggling to sell the beer in North America over trans promotion backlash (apnews.com)

Anheuser-Busch Inbev said Tuesday that revenue growth in most of its global regions was offset by a drop in North American sales, in a sign of continuing fallout from a promotion with a transgender influencer that cost it sales....

SmoothIsFast ,

Why all the bud light peeps just swapped to other subsidiaries of the patent company, it’s not like they are actually losing money it’s just the bud light idiots never went back and this shows that effect.

SmoothIsFast ,

But ofc it makes business sense to blame it on us trans people, like this was anything, like Budweiser ever did shit for us in the first place…

You realize it’s just more rage bait right? The parent company here complaining has seen increased growth in subsidiaries like Corona because the lot getting bent out of shape over bud light just bought other bear made by the same parent company. They didn’t lose money it’s just coming from different beers now. Fuck the wall street noise here

SmoothIsFast ,

Eh you are forgetting the spot where the conservative snowflakes also just started buying different beer from anheuser-busch because they don’t know how companies are structured and thought bud light was a whole company. They haven’t lost money here just the share of money coming from bud light in north America has shifted to other beers they own.

SmoothIsFast ,

AI isn’t a stock.

No but investments into AI from companies has completely ballooned stock prices of certain companies, which is due for a correction.

a final pump before the dump.

This is not how investment capital works.

This is exactly how investment capital works. You pump gain value on the up side and dump while getting into short positions to profit from the creation and implosion of a bubble. They then before a bubble burst draw up public support to unload the bags on. Risne repeat and move on, it’s the playbook for VC…

SmoothIsFast ,

Investment capital and stock purchases are different things.

No shit, it’s why if you are in the market to offset risk you are going to open a short position through your family office once that company eventually tries to IPO which is able to skirt reporting requirements via equity swaps. As I said investment captial is used for pumping and artificially moving goal posts so that post eventual ipo you can have untenable growth targets that justifies your new found short exposure for those “fundamentals” you describe.

VC means “venture capitalist” and the “venture” part is when you invest in a private (i.e. “doesn’t have stock”) company. You may have confused this with VCs wanting to get in early before an IPO (Initial Public Offering), so they can get out big and early.

Yes as I explained, they use private investment before public scrutiny to create untenable growth targets, generate hype around the ipo, cash out and short the fucker to the ground to essentially doubling any gains. It’s extremely common place, which is why it’s always a trope around VC firms and their evaluations in any business type media.

So no, this is not how any of this works.

Yes once again this exactly how this all works.

Very few AI companies are publicly traded, because the industry is still almost entirely startups (hence the capital interest)

How many times does one need to state the bubble is not on the AI tech itself, it’s on those companies introducing AI into their workflow where the asset bubble is occurring as they are inflating the gains AI will actually bring. The VC funds are there so that the AI companies can be sized up with untenable growth projections and evaluations to prevent long term growth allowing companies like Microsoft to come in and scoop up the IP for significantly cheaper than developing it themselves, cough openAI cough cough.

Contrary to what GME cultists will tell you, pump and dumps are pretty rare outside of crypto. Crypto is vulnerable to it because there are no fundamentals and market value based is entirely on speculation.

Fuck you wall street shills are always so predictable, no one is a cultist with GME we are all household investors who saw a completely overshorted company and invested. Continued to investigate the market and are now trying to apply regulatory pressure as individuals to make sure we have the same access and ability to work in our financial markets as any wall street company does. Pump and dumps are not rare outside of crypto, for fucks sake just listen to cramer for a week you probably identified 10 stocks being gamed as he tries to sell his viewers on that “investment”. Granted most money on your general stock market is siphoned off using off exchange trading, pfof, and etf share fabrication under market making exemptions.

We have literally created small organism brains with neural networks that behaved nearly identical, using ML and neural nets. Idk but i would call that pretty damn good emphical evidence. We do not know the specific mechanism on how a brain generates its weight so to speak chemically and computes but we understand that at its simplest form it is a neuron, with a weight, and depending on that weight/sensitivity what ever you want to call it produces a an output pretty damn consistently. The brain is multiple networks working simultaneously with the ability to self learn, this architecture is what is missing in our ML models now if you wanted general artificial intelligence, but we are missing foundational algoriths for chossing wieghts instead of randomly assigning them and hoping for the best to facilitate memroy and cleaner network integrations. You need specialized networks for each critical function, motor control, emotional regulation, etc then you need a system that can interpret weights or create weights in a way that you can imprint an “image”, for lack of a better term, to create memories. Consciousness would then just be the network that facilitates interpretation from each networks output and decides which systems need to be engaged next or if an end state was reached. Which imo can be clearly demonstrated by split brain individuals.

If we had a theory of mind that was complete, it would simply be a matter of counting up the number of transistors required to approximate varying degrees of intelligence.

I think this would be our fundamental lacking to interpret how our brain calculates and uses chemical weights so to speak to vary output. If we can’t judge that efficiency, we can’t just count all the transitors and say it’s this smart because the model could literally be trained to just output the letter s for everything even if its the size of chat gpt. I think we very well could state the capacity and limits of our brains by counting the number of neurons but whether it reaches its potential is dependent on how efficiently it was trained and that is where approximating intelligence becomes insanely difficult.

SmoothIsFast ,

We have also recently trained a model against a small fly or worm, I can’t remember which it was, and it behaved identically to the original organism, it’s the complicated networks which have multiple sub networks essentially that are our current weak spot.

SmoothIsFast ,

Imagine knowing so little but writing so much.

Lmao ok bud if that was true refute this “nonsense” right? Or do you not want me pointing to the constant fines handed out in regards to this shit? Do you want me to explain the legal loopholes in the regulations governing our markets that you will want to point to as proof this isn’t a widespread issue?

Bonus funny points for calling me a “wall street shill” in a thread about an interaction that specifically does not involve the stock market.

Bonus points for sneaking in a GME subversion that had no relevance in the first place to try and make it seem anyone talking about market reform is some cultist. It’s a tell for meltdowners and shills lmaoo.

Lmao this explains so much. TO THE MOOOOOOON

Damn I really love all the space in your brain I get to take up rent free it’s so spacious in here with your lack of critical thinking skills, ahhhhh so comfy.

New evidence confirms COVID-19 vaccines are overwhelmingly safe (www.theglobeandmail.com)

New evidence confirms COVID-19 vaccines are overwhelmingly safe::More than 38 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Ontario as of Oct. 8, with 23,002 reports of adverse reactions, an incidence of 0.06 per cent, Public Health Ontario says

SmoothIsFast ,

corporate and financial interests were completely disconnected from all our health care and pharmaceutical systems

This is not realistic in the slightest. Reasearch requires resources and the time and effort of highly qualified people.

It’s extremely realistic, humanity makes the most progress when research does not need to create a monetary benefit. It allows us to explore ideas unabated. While these systems need funding we could take a 1% from military spending and invest with government resources. Hence why the mrna vaccines actually progressed so quickly, they were already being researched by the army for quick and rapid treatment of diseases during combat, i.e. just to solve the problem not just to profit from the tech, they lent that research out and gave grants to the corporations who developed and manufactured the covid vaccines. Internet, developed for combat communications not for profit. Most computer innovations came out of the space race, research without a profit motive. The ideas funded by corporate interests revolve around optimizing profit, not progress, which is why we get planned obsolescence, lack of rights to repair, massive healthcare costs needing insurance offsets, etc. I guarantee you can’t name an actual positive innovation that was spurred purely for profit and not bastardized in the name of profit from a century old idea people forgot about so the company could attribute genius to its wealthy founders crud copy and paste job.

SmoothIsFast ,

I have always used clonezilla to just make a complete system image if that’s what you are looking for. The downside being its not gonna be a tool you just run from the command line, you need to install it to some bootable media and select each drive to backup. But if a full system image backup is your goal, I’d say give clonezilla a go.

SmoothIsFast ,

Huh til, thanks for the heads up!

You can also get grayjay, which will also condense twitch, nebula, youtube, etc into one consistent feed without trackers or ads. Also it supports the down vote plug-in and 3rd party comment solutions so you can get even more from the app then you can with say revanced which is just the regular old YouTube app with patches.

Your experiment seems about the equivalent to a teenage boy calling himself a lesbian because they like chick’s, it’s just immature humor but I doubt that was the intent of the comment, sounds more like they were just an incel.

SmoothIsFast ,

Well the CCP are the biggest single investor with tencent owning over 40% of discord, which is why it has zero encryption or security, they are getting their money’s worth by now having access to shit loads of data to mine, manipulate and train ais with, and we have done jack shit to prevent it, I think discord is the second largest social media platform now.

SmoothIsFast ,

It’s because they all have assets in corporate real estate, have massive amounts of debt that they just refinance latter and get more investors on board so they can ignore the problem. Now we have real pressures that would kill their inflated corporate real estate assets turning that balance sheet upsode down and they are in a panic because they haven’t been effectively doing the job they are supposed to. Fuck them

SmoothIsFast ,

Not all artists have labels, there are a lot of independents and getting 0.001 cents per play from Spotify is basically robbery compared to what sites like SoundCloud will pay per stream…

SmoothIsFast ,

They get fractions of a penny per play, you are better off streaming it once on SoundCloud for them then listening a hundred times on Spotify. All the dick riding here is from people who do not understand the business model of streaming services and how they steal all profit from those creators bringing content to their platform. Ad monetization does not fucking work it creates businesses with massive losses so data brokers can eventually scoop up the data from the ashes of the service and feed it to marketing departments at other companies for a fee, and no artists do not get a cent from those sales it’s a joke. Buy directly from the artist on band camp or donate via patreon if they have it.

SmoothIsFast ,

Spotify pays like 0.003 per stream the fuck are you talking about? Either you are racking up millions of plays or you are straight talking out your ass. Granted taking a shitty label deal is not something to promote, but don’t act like Spotify actually pays shit, because it does not…

Selling 20 albums at $10 would net around $200, getting 20 people to listen to your album on Spotify nets maybe 80 cents…

SmoothIsFast ,

Sure for major artists pulling in millions a year, but at that point fuck em. For indy and unsigned artists, directly buying their media goes basically straight to them and is usually the highest margin item they have. If they are a massive artist sure their merch has economy of scale setup and they rake in money through that but I don’t support massive wealth inequality so they can fuck right off.

Ford lays off 700 who were building electric version of F-150 | CNN Business (www.cnn.com)

Ford lays off 700 who were building electric version of F-150 | CNN Business::Ford is laying off about 700 workers who build the F-150 Lightning, the electric version of its best-selling pickup truck, and unlike other recent layoffs this one has nothing to do with the ongoing strike by the United Auto Workers union.

SmoothIsFast ,

Electric vehicles have instant torque, can use actual independent motors for each wheel to maximize grip, and can have higher hp than their gas counterparts. They have better towing and hauling capabilities than a comparable gas equivalent, I get you don’t understand physics but it’s a pretty basic concept, ffs…

SmoothIsFast ,

To clarify, it’s the capacity, not the motors.

Fair enough, sorry for assuming you were gonna pull out the electric is just shit argument. I haven’t looked into Edison motors but there is a British sport car manufacturer, can’t believe I’m drawing a blank right now on the name, working on using an electric drive train with a small battery and hydrogen turbine generator that supplies 300mi of range and supposedly can run on anything from diseal to hydrogen allowing it to be completely green once we have the needed infrastructure. That battery only give like 50mi of range if I am remembering correctly but the turbine allows us to use more energy dense solutions for powering the drive train. Thus offsetting any capacity issues and needing to recharge on the track, as the car was more track/performance focused. I think for those looking to get similar range and capacity these types of solutions would be perfect, and allows us to get the benefits of both sides while mitigating anyone issue. Hopefully we can push for more hybrid like solutions like this as I think it would satisfy most gripes we have with going to more green machinery. Infrastructure is not fully built out for hydrogen or electric charging? Cool top off the generator at the gas station takes the same amount of time as before and vehicle maintenance is simpler with an electric drivetrain, keeping similar convience while also primed to take advantage of green solutions like hydrogen stations or fast chargers as they become more prevelant.

SmoothIsFast ,

The point is more relevant when your work hardware is trash. My work machine has 16gb of ram and a quad core, my personal pc is a 12core, with 64gb of ram. If I could get at least 32gb of ram at work, I’d mind less, but it’s a pain in the ass with my current setup.

SmoothIsFast ,

When are companies gonna understand that growth for the sake of growth every year is just not feasable?

Depends when we actually enforce and support the SECs market reforms instead of defending them. As it sits once, that 5% target is no longer consistently hitable the naked shorts will start to come from maket makers and hedge funds allowing wall street to make just as much money in the growth stage as in the desth stage of a company plus when Google eventually gets to that point they can buy up all the IP during the bankruptcy process for their next unlimited growth candidate to usurp. Shit is absolutely fucked, plus congress has basically called out in their deals to keep the government running that the SEC can’t use any of the budget to further market reform, so your gonna need to vote in candidates who support Markey reform, and proper reform at that sense baring indivual household shareholders from being able to participate and get accurate disclosures on off market trade data, equity swap data, or just widening the gap between wall street and retail investors access to data is also considered market reform by those corrupt individuals supporting wall streets mess.

SmoothIsFast ,

Hence when predatory shorting takes place while long institutions switch to short positions hoping retail joins in on selling shares to allow the stock to crater and delist from the open market thus facilitating cellar boxing to occur, making them even more money then they made on the upside. It’s why wall street actually loves bubbles and helps create them…

SmoothIsFast ,

Well maybe retail but hedge funds love shorting shit to the ground. Having unrealistic growth goals sets a company up to eventually reach a point where they can switch the narrative to decline in a company because of missed unrealistic growth goals, that’s where the big boys make a lot of fucking money as once a stock gets delisted they can warehouse and never settle failed to deliver trades, or naked shorts that inflated the number of shares available to exponentially grow there position on the downside. It’s a game of siphoning money away from the public.

SmoothIsFast ,

Lmfaooo what current gen games do you think could run on an iPhone, seriously let me have whatever you’re smoking 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

SmoothIsFast ,

That doesn’t give it enough gpu or heat capacity to run without throttling modern games lmaoo

Fuck off troll

SmoothIsFast ,

Yeah go suck xinnie the poohs dick troll

SmoothIsFast ,

Go suck more authoritarian regime dick, dumb ass. If I have to explain why authoritarian regimes who want to usurp global power by 2040 harvesting your data is a bad thing, you should just go check yourself into a mental institution. Like I said fuck off troll

Goodbye Youtube and thanks for all the fish (infosec.pub)

Youtube let the other shoe drop in their end-stage enshittification this week. Last month, they required you to turn on Youtube History to view the feed of youtube videos recommendations. That seems reasonable, so I did it. But I delete my history every 1 week instead of every 3 months. So they don’t get much from my choices....
