I originally joined Reddit in 2011, and in the beginning it was dominated by cat content. It was rare to see a post about dogs. Sometime in the mid 20-teens this phenomenon reversed. It blows my mind that in my jurisdiction dogs need to be registered, up to date on shots, leashed, kept on your property. Cats are a free for all. They can be left outside and are free to trespass. They kill over 2 billion birds a year in the US alone. Cats piss on everything on my property, use my yard as a litter box. I had to take down my bird feeders because it was a death trap. And there is NOTHING I can do about it. Fuck cats. For good measure, fuck irresponsible dog owners, too.
