This isn’t news, it just underscores how out-of-touch some demographics are to what most of us deal with.

As a Trekkie, I am very pleased to learn I use the “Vulcan” grip.

Oh wow, please!! Such a clever show!

And that’s one thing that made it SO cool-looking!! Like stop-animation!

The TV show was fascinating! And I remember loving the music, too. Matt Frewer was just fascinating as, was it Edison Carter? And as Max. Really clever concepts!

One cat is on a prescription kidney diet (Royal Canin). The others get Halo dry chicken. Made with chicken, no by-products or meal. Shiny coats and happy cats. Inside cat also gets dental treats, and eats the other cat’s expensive prescription diet when she can. I have a cat-mate fountain, it works well, even though I’ve had to replace the pump.

No. Tabby and white. Torties don’t have stripes, it’s overlapping/blended patches of color with no white. But he’s a handsome boy!

Edited to better describe tortoiseshell coloring, I was thinking calico.

I thought I read somewhere that a lot of the streaming shows get cancelled after just 3 seasons because the residuals increase after that, or something about syndication?

Finally watched “Everything Everywhere All At Once” and it was very different from any other Oscar winner I’ve seen, very clever, and surprisingly moving.

I will bounce in every week or so, but since I can’t use Apollo for quick, clean, ad-free, non-intrusive browsing, I get sick of it all pretty quickly.

I am trying other sources for news. Someone mentioned GroundNews app, and it’s pretty nifty, even without going to pro version. I am also using The Guardian app more often.

Even FB just sux so bad, I can’t stay on it for long.

Except for the damn reels. Argh.

Anyway, we all need to post more here, and also on other new playforms. Discuit is pretty cool.

How do you find and watch that edit?

after the way Di$ney screwed Daft Punk for that soundtrack? Nope. If we’re fortunate, Wendy Carlos will do it. But then again, jared Leto is behind this project, so we are not fortunate.

I had to work far too hard to read that past ads and popup ads and crawler ads and full-screen interrupter ads. Holy cow!

The Fugitive‘s 30th anniversary: ‘I Didn’t Kill My Wife!’ — An Oral History of ‘The Fugitive’ (www.rollingstone.com)

There was no finished script or even an ending and a key cast member became fatally ill during the production. Three decades after the release of the landmark Hollywood thriller, the cast and crew look back at the film's chaotic creation and reflect on the legacy of the instant classic that almost fell apart

And that’s why we only got to the theaters that enforce no-phones, no-talking. Alamo Drafthouse, Flix Brewhouse, even our local small-chain privately owned theater pushes the phones-off, shut-up policy. Such a fabulous way to see a movie!

I grew up with Speed Racer, and was a huge fan of Robotech (we even had dogs named Rook and Rand), and Macross. Thanks for sharing.

ELI5: How is Amazon able to sell me books so much cheaper than brick and mortar book stores in my area

I like shopping in book stores. There’s something about wandering the aisles and waiting for a book to jump out at you that I can’t get shopping online. Unfortunately, whenever I compare the price of a book Amazon has every in-person store beat, often pricing their offerings 30%-50% lower (or around $10/book in my...

You should ask at your local brick and mortar store. When The Witcher series came out, I wanted to buy the book set. Buying from the local store guaranteed that I got a matched set at about the same price as ordering off amazon.
