Open incoming port in outgoing VPN

I’m using protonvpn setup in my router for all outgoing traffic. Works great but I can’t find anything about opening a port in the vpn without using the app which I can’t do because it’s setup in my router. This is preventing me from using my incoming VPN to connect to my network when I’m away from home.

I just did this dance because mullvad stopped port forwarding for their customers. I ended up using airvpn because I can forward ports in their website console and then connect using my router. Works fine and relatively inexpensive. Proton was on my list, but it was quite a bit more expensive.
