My thoughts on TEMU: it’s a CCP astroturphing campaign to overtake Amazon et al.

Their model fits that narrative imo.

First exploit citizens to increase national economic growth. They then had a monopoly on outsourced production. They began stealing IP from company’s that did business with them. They flooded Amazon et al with cheap knockoff products, price wise there’s no competing with them.

Now they’re going to cut out the middlemen. TEMU is the latest attempt to divert what little they don’t own of the marketplace to their own pockets.

Don’t get me wrong, fuck all the big monopoly billionaire enabling companies of today. But right now it’s then vs a stronger Chinese economy (read military) and I’ll settle for the status quo until we get that dissolved.

I’m with you. I recently jumped on mastodon and can’t get into the Twitter style. I follow a few things of interest but it’s like comparing cable TV programming with Netflix, I don’t want to be told what to watch but I need a nudge and structure to wade around in (if that makes sense).

Radar would be pick that up though and it would get shot down. We aren’t blind at that level and it would be a very predictable thing to handle.

This is overall a very low risk scenario which is probably why these vulnerabilities are still on the systems.

This just sounds like a group of college students who think they struck gold when in fact the industry experts they’re going for have long addressed these issues.
