You can be against war without thinking you’ll end war.

Regardless, almost dying and ending up in the hospital definitely seems like a negative relative to the neutral “default state”.

I think it should be noted that the submarine was in no way practical. But they sent it anyways so they could say they tried.

It’s pretty important context for the “PR” comment.

Looking for games with strong female leads for my daughter (even just to watch as I play). Came across this link, but they're a bit age-inappropriate. Any suggestions from the community? (gameranx.com)

Edit: Daughter is only 5 so she’s unlikely to play much but she watches me and as long as it’s not too violent, it should be fine

  1. Rogue Legacy

I could play it endlessly. Death is expected and you constantly upgrade. And when you have a good run it really feels like you’ve earned it, as opposed to a lot of Rogues that make you feel like you got lucky with buffs.

  1. Final Fantasy VIII

There’s so many ways you can play it. And there are so many ways to grind beyond the typical RPG way of killing more monsters.

  1. Morrowind

It’s simply the most amazing world to get lost in. There’s something to do or explore around every corner. And the game practically begs you to break it.

  1. Final Fantasy XII

This one is my current game. They made an ATB turn based system somehow real time. And it’s so cathartic to wonder around beautiful landscapes killing monsters in classic ATB style seamlessly.

Also, if you were a frequent poster, your profile doesn’t actually have everything you’ve ever posted. So if you used RES to mass delete, it would have missed stuff.

Damn, just checked DNDmemes and they stopped doing goblin and kobold porn like a month ago.

It’s absolutely bonkers that the first game in the series, on the NES, had you kill the main villain at the beginning of the game due to time travel.

There are a lot of enlightened centrists that will completely ignore actual harmful Republican policies that they disagree with, but condemn Democrats getting a little condescending. It’s why you can never fully trust when the public supports a certain agenda. They don’t always vote the same way.

Just bomb around that guy with pen and paper. Easy.

“You’re not allowed to attack us if we have a journalist with us. That’s the rules. Now don’t mind us while we use civilians as target practice.” - Russia

Omegamanthethird ,
@Omegamanthethird@lemmy.world avatar

Russia can and does lie to justify their actions. So you’re right that they can lie and then do whatever they want, as they always do.

And the West does not lock up all of its journalists. Dissent is literally illegal in Russia.

Regardless of the situation, a reporter mixed in with enemy combatants isn’t going to get special protections.

Omegamanthethird ,
@Omegamanthethird@lemmy.world avatar

There’s one commenter defending Russia. It’s more anti-Ukraine and implying Russia’s innocence (saying they COULD do the same when they already do so much worse).

But it’s really just the one posting a bunch.

For new subs though? Is anyone clamoring for that? It sounds like bad management.

Omegamanthethird ,
@Omegamanthethird@lemmy.world avatar

Thanks, I thought it was creating new subs. Yeah, they’re desperate to give out existing subs to brand new users.

Is there a reason the natural sweeteners should be trusted over aspartame? From what I’ve read, you would need to drink a case of diet soda every day before it maybe even starts to be cancerous.

Omegamanthethird ,
@Omegamanthethird@lemmy.world avatar

If you’re drinking 30 cans a day, I’m going to guess that switching to water won’t be the easiest of the things to change from that list. And it would be the least significant impact.

Omegamanthethird ,
@Omegamanthethird@lemmy.world avatar

I worry about the “natural” sugar alternatives. We all know that aspartame is safe, it’s been researched about as extensively as it can be. It only starts to be a concern when you’re drinking 2 dozen diets sodas daily.

But people give “natural” a pass for some reason.

I live in Arkansas and prefer non-sweet. I can’t imagine not specifying.

The Proud Boys leader fucked a dildo to own the libs. So you’re not wrong.

It’s weird that they mention games getting rereleased over and over. But that’s really the popular games. The less popular games, like the unpopular shows and movies, just get abandoned. Hell, with companies closing or splitting, they might not even know who owns a lot of them.

There’s a place near me that I was planning on eating at. Then I saw they had a “Back the Bleu” burger. They won’t get my business.
