Someone who was not my publisher set up a fake preorder for my latest book on Amazon.

Some of the information from the fake preorder, including a completely different item in place of the cover art, was imported into the real item.

If any of you is a real person who works at Amazon and can fix a listing after it was targeted by a scam like this, please let me know ASAP.

Yes, both my publisher and I have already reported it.

@stina_marie @horror I love a couple on your list in particular----Session 9, A Ghost Story, A Tale of Two Sisters, The Innocents. Oz Perkins's I am the Pretty Thing... is wonderful but I love just as much his Blackcoat's Daughter which I think is underrated. I watched The Crescent (2017) today which was a slow creep but ultimately devastating. I also like good indies when I find them and Bad Things was one of those, directed by Stewart Thorndike (2023).

Jamaican Easter Traditions:

In the past, it was traditional to set egg white in a glass cup on Holy Thursday evening. On Good Friday morning, predictions would be made based on the pattern or shape of the egg white. For example, a ship meant travel.

We used to have a dogwood tree in our yard in South Carolina where my father had been a pastor. When I asked him about it a couple of weeks ago when my sister and I went to visit, he said the cross had been made of dogwood. Here's a little more about the legend, some of which he conveyed to us. I liked reading about Jamaican traditions. (One of my fave cakes to make was Hummingbird cake--Jamaican I believe?)
