I think this is pointing out the US agencies Aren’t dumb enough to use an open source ai to try to generate code for hacking activities.

I don’t care if this is don’t peer reviewed yet or not.

This is HUGE in terms of future potential.

Within our lifetime we will have so many advances in terms of vaccines and drugs to prevent mass debilitating and death diseases, due to new technologies available.

Woo! Let’s go science?

I was wondering why the sun dials in france were all off by 2 hours!

Is the blockchain an interesting innovation, aside from cryptocurrencies ?

For a long time, I thought of the blockchain as almost synonymous with cryptocurrencies, so as I saw stuff like “Odyssey” and “lbry” appearing and being “based on the blockchain”, my first thought was that it was another crypto scam. Then, I just got reminded of it and started looking more into it, and it just seemed...

I believe there is an initiative by some big banks to push for wire transfers to be done via a blockchain as opposed to slow ach transfers.

They call it quantum computing or something like that… but seemed like it had potential to solve some issues with slow banking

I mean, phones hand so much space now. Does it matter?

I know I can root and get rid of stupid apps, but like I just downloaded sent movie or Playlist I needed for a two week trip without any issue on space on my fold 4. So… why does the extra crap layer these days.

Early days, I’d root as my phone degraded over time. Now… why bother

Anyone have some recommendations for best of Top gear episodes. Love these guys and watched for a few years, but felt weird watching old episodes at one point. Trying to keep up with new cars, and watching old episodes made me feel weird going back. Now, I think I can enjoy them for what it is.

My mentality is, do what you can, when you can. It seems overwhelming, because it is and it isn’t just on you to control. It is mostly on the world governments and corporations to actually start initiatives to stop this from getting worse, and then actually get better later on.

You, yourself, cannot du much to influence change, and your impact with the things you choose to do to help, honestly won’t help much in the grand scheme of things unfortunately.

So recycle, get a hybrid, or electric car when you can. Contribute to organizations that support the cause but don’t stress about what you can do in the short term.

A teachers union says it’s fed up with social media’s impact on students (www.nbcnews.com)

The nation’s second-largest teachers union said Thursday it was losing patience with social media apps that it says are contributing to mental health problems and misbehavior in classrooms nationwide, draining time and money from teachers and school systems.

Honest question. How quickly do these emergencies need to be resolved by you specifically? Like if the teacher or school can contact you in a quick manner if they go to the office, why would they need a phone on their person?

Maybe there are person exceptions here, but how often does a few minutes, or a direct contact matter?

I’m with you on this. How is having like 300+ more options available (depending on the school) to call the police really something that will help with school shootings specifically. Like if it happens a teacher would call.

People are so paranoid about not having instant connections available at all times. It is not that needed. Especially with kids in school.

Having everything at your fingertips is great, in theory. But for kids without the ability to regulate, it’s as much a distraction than an advantage.
