I just watched the 2nd season of ‘Dating on the Spectrum’. I felt so much of the arkwardness. I don’t understand why the producers made them go on these cringeworthy arkwardness inducing dates focused on verbal interaction. I don’t think I ever really dated and in hindsight the majority of my long term relationships were based on a lot of written exchanges first which was much easier for me than immediate in person exchanges.

How is dating for y’all?

Yes, of course is in person IRL the goal. I have just found that it is more difficult for me to stay with myself as I’m rather focused on trying to figure out how to best navigate the verbal and non-verbal communication of the other person. It makes me hold back more in person whereas I can share more of myself in writing if that makes sense. I don’t have to worry so much about the other person.

It makes total sense to do things at your pace and with whoever you invite into your life and closer. And you already have an established mutual thing you enjoy in common.

Oh wow, thanks for sharing.

You made me look up congenital anosmic. That is really an interesting match up.

How does not smelling impact your taste of food?

Do my comrades love their plushies / stuffed animals?

Are they a big part of your life?

What do they mean to YOU?

Who are your favorites? Where are they from? Is there a story?

Introduce them!

My ‘thing’ is dragons and not just plushies.

And not all dragons are equal, mine are primarily western type four legged dragons not two legged wyverns. (That really bothered me about the ‘dragons’ in Game of Thrones. They don’t look like dragons to me because they are only two legged.)

As this is about plushies, here are some of mine.
