It really varies by location in the states. Im lucky enough to live in an area with a ton of different craft breweries that do a ton of different things, but there's definitely places here that have fuckall in that area

My rig is full AMD (5800x/5700xt), but that's purely because they happened to be the better value at the time. The second they get a lead in the consumer GPU market (which they likely will since nvidia simply doesn't care about it vs the ML market now) prices are going to rise again.

And don't pretend that these prices are anything resembling affordable. That would be when you could get a legitimately mid-range card for ~$150 (rx580).

Maybe I've just always had the wrong read on them, but extended directors cuts have always felt like they're primarily for people who are huge fans of the movie anyway. There's definitely a subset of people who would watch the full extended cut.

Edit: unless you meant they're getting something out of it being so locked down, in which case yeah. Corporate basically gets to pass the costs down to individual franchisees even more

Edit: Just realized I think you missed the main point. You want a (functionally) 100% reliable baseline to meet your energy needs. That's why you don't use renewables, at the moment anyway. You want as much renewable as possible on top of that.
