I’ve dusted off an old abandoned #WIP that’s I’ve had sitting for years (ok decades). I started this story when I was in high school, forgot about it till I found the original papers about 10 years ago. Since then I’ve slowly added to it, but was never my primary focus. I think it’s finally time to finish this story. #writingcommunity#bookstodon#author#AuthorLife#authorsofmastodon#amwriting@bookstodon
When the Garden of Eden is set aside and a newborn earth is placed under the control of men, God calls it a day. While He sleeps, the world follows His orders by going forth and multiplying. This results in a burgeoning population of strange and noisy creatures, including the Nephilim. Racing toward a preordained ecological disaster, Nephilim, angels, mortals, and the planet itself must find a way to outwit God and survive the inevitable Great Flood.
Ningishzida is a snake who lives in the Garden of Eden. He’s the caretaker of the Trees of Life and of Knowledge. He has recently lost his best friend: a human woman named Eve who has been exiled. When he sees an opportunity to go looking for her, he heads off into the cursed earth leaving Paradise in chaos. The first person he meets is Enki, but Enki hasn’t seen Eve. Enki is the god of fresh water and semen. He’d rather be lazing around in the river or getting laid, but his angelic parent brings him some heavy news: God is going to drown the earth. To make matters worse, Enki will be the one to trigger the flood, and he isn’t allowed to tell anyone about it. Enki must scramble to find the loophole which will save lives as well as his good name. Will Ningishzida be able to help him? Will anyone? #IndigenousCreatives@indigenousauthors
Ok tootlers, give me the name of my pharmacist in a #wip#shortstory, who is hard working, conscientious, and beleaguered, and finally ends up murdering my dude the endocrinologist.
If this is someone you know, don't tell me that, and if it is you, you are welcome to use a stage name or your real name and tell me a few facts about yourself to make the character feel like you.
