Voici 2 très beaux #dessins récemment acquis par les #ArchivesDeLyon : il s'agit des décors peints de 2 des 4 façades de la cour intérieure de l'ancien collège de la Trinité, actuel lycée Ampère à #lyon.
Les dessins sont attribués à Pierre-Paul Sevin (1646-1710) et datent de 1662-1663.
Ils complètent un dessin acheté en 2005 : il n'en manque donc plus qu'un pour faire le tour de la cour !

Admirez la #reliure à la lyonnaise avec sa fermeture en portefeuille, ses nerfs en #cuir et ses plats estampés : bien qu'abîmée par le temps, les étiquettes et la nouette modernes, elle assure toujours une large ouverture de ce #registre#comptable sans (se) casser le dos 🤩

We wanted to have a quiet afternoon and so we went to go to Kapej Coffee on the Brown Line. It is one of our favorite places in #Chicago with some of the best #coffee in the city. In fact, the owner was roasting coffee fresh in a little alcove off the counter.

The Last Pantheon dedicated to the memory of Nick Wood (1961 - 2023) is a story of African superheroes by African authors who share a deep love of the #comic book. Co-writer Tade Thompson provided the cover art and nine illustrations. But this is not a comic book. 👋 Hello, new followers! We stopped posting on our fairly active Twitter account more than a year ago and moved here. We're the Georgia Museum of Art at the University of Georgia, both a university museum and the official state art museum. We celebrated our 75th birthday this year, and we have a collection of over 18,000 objects: American paintings, decorative arts, works on paper, much more. Mastodon feels like a good place for us given our academic and public focus. ❤️
In November while in upstate New York, we took a small afternoon trip to Saratoga Springs, a small, relatively affluent college town near where @seanbala grew up. We made two stops. One was Lyrical Ballad Bookstore. It was an amazing warren of shelves and lots of old books, maps, newspapers, and pictures. Funny thing is that even though he grew up here, this was Sean's first time going!
@seanbala@bookstodon Afterwards, we went to Uncommon Ground, a local coffee shop that makes its own bagels and roasts its own coffee. We got one of the best mochas we've had in a long time and a bagel with some schmear. Worth checking out if you ever visit!
@seanbala read a book while @dohappybelove did some painting. A good afternoon that we needed at that moment.
