I only ever used social media as an educational content creator & the ever-shifting (& more) REALLY messed me up (hardly alone in that!)

I came to Mastodon to have a space that's NOT my nonprofit—that's ME

I want , not clicks

But it's creeping in nonetheless...

Second plenary at is Caroline Tagg. After introducing what is and why it is relevant to us, she explains how it is construed or disrupted in mobile communication. I can relate to many dis/connecting practices she’s presenting, from leaving/being left unread/on read to limiting online connection and taking time to polish texts to present oneself in certain ways. She links these practices to media ideologies and interactants’ sociolinguistic features. @linguistics
