Spezialliteratur als komplementäres Angebot zum Bestand der UBs. Die verfügbaren Titel in unserer "History Collection" konnten wir kürzlich noch einmal deutlich ausweiten.

For #RomanceReviews 16 I'll be reading A Power Unbound by Freya Marske.
I'm expecting this to be an Edwardian m/m romance with some kink, a light grumpy/bratting dynamic and some sexual healing, based on their connection in the previous book.
Background: I read A Restless Truth (#2 in series, f/f, great read.) but not the first one, because I don't usually go for m/m and also I do what I want. However, A Restless Truth made Jack Alston aka Lord Hawthorne sound hot in this tortured bisexual rake way, and Alan Ross was extremely entertaining. We love a scrappy porn dealer.
CW: disability, survivor's guilt, suicidal ideation, bdsm including consensual non-consent.

I loved it.
This had the elements I think of as defining a true romance, both physical chemistry and emotional connection, but it was also definitely a concluding volume of a trilogy and wouldn't read well as a standalone.
I loved the way the author explored the implications of class difference and how Jack and Alan handled IRL power imbalance. A lot of romance authors use the rich character's money to simply fix the poorer character's everything, and this conclusion felt way better than that.
Glorious roleplay and dirty talk. The way they were mindful to keep their mutual mockery mutually enjoyable really warmed the cockles of my cold, dead heart. Just an awesome dynamic.
As a USian, the problems posed by living in a society in which gay sex was illegal seemed Quite Relevant.
How is it that I have a fairly good understanding of what it means to be friendly to someone, but no idea what it means to be friends with someone? You'd think the two would be similar concepts based on the closeness of the words. /gen

I liked Getting Things Done but the guy is clearly speaking to the ruling class there. Not as bad as freakin 7 Habits which sucks and has a blurb from a US president who is a very gross human being and killed a lot of people.
@servelan@actuallyautistic@br00t4c GTD is really helpful for basically saying start with the unifier task: getting all your tasks into one checklist. Then prioritize. Figure out how long parts take. Make sure you set aside enough time to GTD. Complex simplification system, it works

Und wo finde ich das legale kostenlose Ebook zum Laden? Ich finde nur leider Bezahlversionen, die sogar noch teurer als die Papierversion sind.

I did this previously by using MultiMC (now PrismLauncher). Make a mix of mods, send them the zip of the whole game instance and ask them to drag and drop it onto MultiMC. The biggest issue I encountered was one family member having a black ingame world until they changed a setting in the graphics mod, otherwise it didn’t seem to be too hard.
By comparison Minetest is much easier for playing mods with family. Everyone downloads the server’s mods when they join. But the interest is lower.
