New York Times: US Intel has reported they have "HIGH CONFIDENCE" intelligence from multiple sources, that the hospital strike was a failed rocket fired from within Gaza.

NYT and WSJ reported this moments ago. US Intelligence poured over their own intelligence and videos posted online, as well as Israeli intelligence, and have “high confidence” that it was some Palestinian militant group that was not Hamas, that fired the failed missile that impacted the hospital.
Disclaimer: Since the beginning, I have had a bias towards Israel.
Analysis and Context: The Gaza Health Ministry put out a statement that 500 were killed in an Israeli Airstrike on a hospital with no warning. AP and Reuters basically copy pasted this statement moments later with the title heading stating “ISRAEL STRIKES HOSPITAL, KILLING 500”.
Now, they had to edit this article title like 3 times over the next hour, probably because they noticed Israel was eerily silent, when they usually report mistakes like the UN official dying in their strikes quite quickly.
CNN, NYT, and other news media had already labeled it an Israeli strike. BBC decided not to, which was quite wise, but it was pretty much too late. The Arab world and online world were enraged. Embassies were being marched on in various parts of the globe.
The situation was deteriorating rapidly, 5 hours since the incident and no statement released by Israel yet. Finally, the statement comes out: “We didn’t strike the hospital.”
Too late, PA President and Jordan leaders cancelled the meeting with Biden. Further deterioration of the situation.
Videos and disinformation had been spreading like wildfire, calling for people to listen to the sound of the strike, which sounds similar to a JDAM. Several livestreams, including one by the Qatar-backed organization, Al Jazeera, shows the moment a barrage of rockets was launched not far away from the hospital, followed by the explosion of the hospital. Other videos confirm the failure of the booster on one of the rockets.
You can view these videos on the Twitter account called Geoconfirmed, an account that simply verifies the location and time of videos without bias.
I’m sure news organizations have learned something new from this event. The fog of war can blind anyone. I do not blame them for reporting it wrong. My own opinion is that any statement by an organization with ties to Hamas, like the Gaza Health Ministry, should be taken with a grain of salt the size of a soccer ball when reporting it.
