Exactly! Why are we even downvoted for this? People with political agendas are increasingly using every popular sub for posting their shit. Don’t care. Don’t want to see it.
Just because the technology involves politics shouldn’t mean it can’t belong here also. Why do they have to be mutually exclusive? I’m not pushing my beliefs on anyone here.
If you read the article (which I can only assume you did), it goes into detail about a how even hackers from Black Hat and DEFCON (two well known cybersecurity conventions) were donating to a cause they believe in. It even goes on to talk about hacking voting machines.
The majority of english-speaking Lemmy users are from the US. Sadly, they think that they are the onle ones. More importantly, they think that US politics is important to everyone outside of the US.
