Howdy. I wanted a central place for information surrounding smartphone keyboards since there have been some changes recently to a few of them. I hope to keep this post afloat over the long term so we can share experiences, information, news, etc to find the perfect smartphone keyboard for ourselves and help others do the same....
So…trying to accommodate to gf’s demands, here’s a curve ball…which audio headset/earphones would you recommend that, while keeping good audio, sells also in PINK COLOR? Your average Sony XM, Sennheiser Momentum, Airpods etc…they all lack pink. Suggestions?
I can see some minor benefits - I use it for the odd bit of mundane writing and some of the image creation stuff is interesting, and I knew that a lot of people use it for coding etc - but mostly it seems to be about making more cash for corporations and stuffing the internet with bots and fake content. Am I missing something...
Everyone here has been overreacting about the Mozilla layoffs, but they only laid off poeple working on the metaverse, ai, and their VPN and stuff. They’re actually refocusing on Firefox. People have been freaking out about them working on ai now, too, but theyve been doing ai for a while (Mozilla common voice...
I recently entered the IT field in help desk and have gotten my CCNA. I’m currently studying for my AWS cloud practitioner cert, and was going to go for Linux+ then the CCNP after that. However I’ve been doing some research into ICS/SCADA systems and the area deeply interests me. Do you think that’s a viable career path in...

Something on the lines of if your company facility is using over X amount of energy the majority of that has to be from a green source such as solar power. What would happen and is this feasible or am I totally thinking about this wrong...
A friends mother that I used to rent a room from asked me to help her set up an outside home security system with motion sensors so she could watch the neighborhood cats cat around in her yard. I thought I’d screenshotted a previous Lemmy thread that had a perfect recommendation, nope. Can’t find it....
Assuming to artificially secure people with new memberships through their first 4-6 weeks to establish a habit through the first billing cycle. Is this a known thing?
According to my opinion No, it is unlikely that technology will fully replace teachers in the future. While technology can aid the teaching process, it cannot fully replicate the role of teachers. Teachers play a crucial role in not only imparting knowledge but also inculcating values, being inspirational role models, and...
Am I not understanding FOSH (free and open source hardware)? I have always dreamed of open source hardware but it has always seemed unshakeably and fundamentally reliant on for instance massive open pit mines mining all over the world in finite dwindling supply wrecking local ecosystems every element necessary for computer...
I’ve tried getting into peertube to have something to watch. I’m exploring copyleft music on open audio / funkwhale. I’m on here in lemmy as of this week. I’m playing with mastodon and the fediverse. I’ve tried studying psychology and psychology-adjacent territory like Deleuze and Guattari and Foucault and Derrida so I...
I’m wanting to set up my external Seagate drive with all my media on it to run a jellyfin server but I’m not sure which device to use. I’m thinking a raspberry pi but I’m not sure which one. From what I can tell from running the server on my laptop it is fairly CPU intensive for lower end systems...

Hey, I’m in the UK and have been getting bombarded by a somewhat-aggressive campaign by YouFibre for their broadband. The actual claims they make are pretty impressive and their Trustpilot score is good, but it’s a little too good and a lot of the reviews feel a bit off so I’m skeptical. Looking on sites other than...
Framework as in the laptop company, just for clarity. frame.work. For those unaware, the idea is that these are laptops built with a high degree of modularity so that you can replace far more than a single stick of SODIMM with the goal of even upgrading your CPU and mainboard a few years down the line....
