I haven’t done this in a while, but you might want to check out the community controller configs. I had a 3rd party controller with a few buttons that steam couldn’t detect, but someone had uploaded a config that worked perfectly for it.
Try going into the Steam settings and make sure that the appropriate controller is enabled for steam input. I had the same issue recently when switching from an Xbox controller to a Gulikit. Enabling Xbox input in Steam fixed it - even though the new controller is not an Xbox controller, and a real Xbox controller worked fine without enabling it.
Ive acc had this for years, steam just seems to be a massive network hog. I think it might have something to do with a router setting, but my solution is to set my download speed cap to around 2mb/s below my internet speed (i have 8mb/s internet) and that seems to do fine.
I solved this problem by just adding any game I want to my wishlist instead of my backlog and then wait until there is a big discount (50% or more) on the game…
I bought Minecraft way way back when it was pretty new and nobody was talking about it for about $1.50. Like a month or so later, they dropped the survival update that put it on the map.
Got MC for something like $10 in their early alpha/beta period. Probably my most played game over the last 10+ years with how many times I’ve gone back to it and dived into one modpack or another. It’s just astounding the amount of momentum that game has had, with both Mojang developed content and fan developed.
I don’t think I got into modding until after that, after it got much easier to use. There are definitely some fantastic mods and packs being released these days though. It’s definitely still a vibrant scene.
