KVMs are unreasonably expensive and my work was about to throw this one in the dumpster. I just need to order some console cables first but I’m really pleased.

Has someone experience running these as firewall preferably with package inspection and incoming Wireguard connections?...
For context: I want to automatically enable Intel SGX for every VM and LXC in Proxmox, but it doesn’t seem like there’s a way to do it using APIs AFAIK (so Terraform is out of the question unless I’ve missed something) other than editing the template for the individual LXC/VM....
What’s your directory structure right?...
Hello fellow hosters,...
I’m looking into different self hosted open source multiuser password safes and while there are many options I haven’t found one with a .deb or .rpm install - only a whole bunch of docker compose....

You will have to update your compose files to reflect this change as part of the upgrade. I just went through...
This is exciting. I was surprised to see that I could see other users’ documents. So I looked it up and it seems the fix is in testing. Great news!
Hello, I have seted up my lemmy server couple months back and am loving it. One problem I have with it is that I can’t follow individual users so I have been thinking about selfhosting another fediverse service that will satiate my need to follow specific users....
I’ve got a QNAP NAS and two Linux servers. Whenever the power goes down, the UPS kicks in and shut downs the NAS and the Linux servers, all good. The servers + NAS are automatically started when the power comes back on line using WOL. All good....
I’m curious as to why someone would need to do that short of having a bunch of users and a small office at home. Or maybe managing the family’s computers is easier that way?...
with the demise of ESXi, I am looking for alternatives. Currently I have PfSense virtualized on four physical NICs, a bunch of virtual ones, and it works great. Does Proxmox do this with anything like the ease of ESXi? Any other ideas?
I’d expected this but it still sucks.
