What are people using for webmail software these days?
I’ve used Roundcube for years and finally got fed up with it breaking on every update because of the plugin system. Are there better options around?

Hello Lads and Ladettes,...
Hi All. I have been running my own lemmy instance for a while now. I set it up sort of as an experiment, and then I realized that I liked having my own instance, as it makes me (mostly) immune to outages due to things outside my control, defederation drama, etc. So I decided that I am going to stick with having my own instance....
Does anyone know what’s going on with Tailscale on Android TV devices? The official site says it’s available on the Google Play Store, but it is not. I’ve read people have successfully installed it by sideloading it. I’m just not sure how safe that is. Any help would be appreciated!

I have an already configured VPS server in Hetzner. I’m pretty happy with it. I have it configured with yunohost (a Debian “layer” that allows you to easily install services). Now I’m planning to run a NextCloud service, but my current server is not capable to handle it with it’s current capabilities. For the same...

Hi there, On my router/modem I cannot change the DNS entries, thus just using Adguard/PiHole for DNS blocking ads doesn’t work. Would a seperate Router circumvent this problem? Could I set up Adguard (or PiHole) on a Raspberry and use it as a DNS server for my home network?...

I use Cloudflare tunnels for most of my self hosted stuff and I wanted to point a subdomain at my piHole, but it seems that you can’t install the cloudflared software on a pi zero. Is there any way to get this working?...
I live in a country where wireguard, openvpn and other vpn protocols have been blocked. Tailscale and Cloudflare Tunnels don’t wok either. I do have a public ip and my router supports DMZ and port forwarding. For security concerns I’m not willing to forward ports. Is there any other method to use my VPS to forward traffic to...
Open source way to connect your devices together. I just got it and it seems pretty dope. Anyone used this, or something similar before?
I currently have Nginx Proxy Manager running through portainer in a VM on my truenas server but I’d like to have it running directly on my opnsense router....

As I’m prepping my self-hosted setup I wanted to know the community’s thoughts on Netbird, the FOSS and completely self hosted alternative to Tailscale. I often hear Tailscale used as a super easy plug and play way to share your home server contents with other people, so how does Netbird fair in comparison? Is it as easy? Is...
Maybe I’m using the wrong terms, but what I’m wondering is if people are running services at home that they’ve made accessible from the internet. I.e. not open to the public, only so that they can use their own services from anywhere....
The plug side that goes into the PSU is not standard....
