Using JuiceSSH on my phone, I'm able to connect to my device without any problems when I'm on my home Wi-Fi. However, when off WiFi and connected to my VPN, the server doesn't connect. I'm still able to access the services it's running, but can't SSH into the server itself....

running a lemmy instance has learned me a lot about devops already!...

Hey. I really like the idea of the fediverse and Lemmy and would want to know as a beginner/not so experienced regarding selfhosting what would be the best way to get started? I saw there are vps options, but don’t know of I’m looking in the right direction.

Since rpis have been almost impossible to find, I've been looking around for alternatives for some local self hosted services like home assistant. A lot of boards seem to talk about GPU, GPIO pins, etc. But I really just want a single board, fanless (low power), decent CPU and RAM, ethernet....

There’s a ton of issues with the UI I want to address and there’s a number of things I want to experiment such as how communities are subscribed to, so I started writing a new UI in SvelteKit. I also have Capacitor setup which would allow this to triple as a native iOS and Android application....
