Hello selfhosters. I have a Linux VM spun up on my server that I access via Remmina. Would it be ok for me to expose Remmina for external access? It would be behind a reverse proxy as well as Authelia 2FA of course. Is that secure “enough”, just for a VM?

I use homer as a fancy bookmark manager for my home server. But I hate updating the config file every time I add a new service. Are there any dashboards that allow you to update items with an API/using docker labels like Traefik?

I’m looking into self hosted and open source nvr options and frigate looks like the right fit for me. I’m curious what hardware others are running it on and how many cameras they have. How many people are running it in home assistsnt?

I use O365 Business (Or whatever the heck they call it now) for my email, so for SMTP on all my devices at home, I use an O365 account with an app password, sending as a distro-group so it can have a custom name...

I recently moved Nextcloud and Gitea from Containers on a Debian VM to Alpine LXCs running Alpine’s packages. I’ve never had Nextcloud’s web interface so snappy and my resource usage for both is next to 0. If you’re running Proxmox I’d highly recommend trying out Alpine LXCs if they package your services.
