Hi! I’m looking for a good cloud storage provider for my backups. I will encrypt them locally and rclone them, so integration is important. I’ve been looking through reddit, and every single provider has something behind their ears (closes accounts, scans files, sketchy, blah blah blah), so I’m having a bit of an analysis...
Hello everyone,...
Calibre is pretty decent but it’s slow and buggy and bloated. Plus it’s pajeetware so there’s another reason not to use it. What alternatives do you recommend?
I have an Intel Core i5-7600K and just passed through my Intel HD 630 iGPU from my Proxmox host to a virtual machine running Debian to be able to use it in a Jellyfin Docker container. Everything worked fine, but I used only the basic configuration that I found which I don’t really get. Can someone explain to me whether I’m...
Does anybody know a way of either converting (on android) a putty key to something I can use in ConnectBot, or a good android SSH app that can use Putty keys natively?...
Am I doing something wrong or does TrueNAS/Nextcloud not support HEIC images?...
I’m going to be running a Jellyfin server, and I don’t want to maintain it a lot, I just want it to work. Would using Docker be the easier way to maintain Jellyfin, or would using Podman be better? (I don’t want to deal with SELinux, firewalls, port forwarding, etc.)

I use O365 Business (Or whatever the heck they call it now) for my email, so for SMTP on all my devices at home, I use an O365 account with an app password, sending as a distro-group so it can have a custom name...
Hello, I’m planning a rather large trip later this year and have been searching for something to help me plan and organize. I’ve come across a few apps that are not exactly privacy friendly, like TripIt and Wanderlog....
Delta Airlines LAX Terminal (LAX) serves as a dynamic canvas where airlines carve out their presence, and Delta Airlines, housed within Terminals 2 and 3, offers passengers a distinctive experience that fuses efficiency with a touch of West Coast allure.
Hey guys, I’m new to self-hosting; I’m trying to set up cloud storage to store pics and other content. However, I’m unsure whether to use my old computer, Buy NAS or ResberryPie to set up a home server....

Hi there ! I have a little box at home, hosting some little services for personal use under freebsd with a full disk encryption (geli). I’m never at home and long power outage often occurs so I always need to come back home to type my passphrase to decrypt the disk....
Hey there!...
I’d like to sync my markdown notes between devices (laptop and phone), which service is better: Nextcloud or Syncthing? Any other important idea I should know?, like latency times, or maximum number of synced devices, what if I edit the same note from both places without internet and then both get connected to a network… For...
Hello, how can I migrate Lemmy from one host to another?...
Anyone else using this to bypass those pesky paywalls? It’s working great for me using the docker container.
I’m having a play about with Yacy today. I have had the thoughts that it would be great to have the possibility to search through my paperless-ngx documents. Is it doable?? Has anyone got it working??
