I’ve been buying games off of eBay before I’ve ever owned a credit card, and its web page could render on a PSP. Over the years I’ve purchased consoles, rare games, and common guff for my game library with virtually no issues....

As I get older, I find I have no interest in playing the cutesy/silly games that are everywhere on retro consoles (obviously, they were targeted towards kids). But I also don’t have the patience for survival horror games like the resident evil or silent hill series. I’m just looking for a fun spooky game that I can jump into...

I’m focused on NES, SNES, N64, Master System, and Genesis at the moment. I’ve just about reached the end of the cheap NES games and bought an Everdrive N8 Pro earlier this year. Mainly for ROM translations and homebrew, but I will admit to playing some of the higher dollar games on it. I’d much rather play actual carts...

This was such a fun game. The premise is so simple but works so well. Staying ahead of the baddies is like an exciting puzzle. It was even better playing single screen multiplayer with a buddy....

I’ve heard people say it is therapeutic to reflect on your actions and interactions with others....

What have you been playing and hows it going? Anything got you stuck? What high score are you going for? is this the first, second, (n+1) play-through?...

Besides the official Atari channel, that is.

So when I was a kid in the 80s, I would always get SUPER excited for getting a new game....

I feel like collecting for the Atari 2600 and while I have other systems like the Sega Genesis, I would like to have your input on what system you think goes well with it…maybe the Intellivision or Colecovision due to being within the same era as the woodgrain or black bread box?

Finally got it all set up just how I want it, sorta. Thinking of getting some button mods to make it more unique ◾️

In a perfect world, it would run a Linux-based OS, be moddable, have decent ergonomics for an adult, and kinda just generally not suck. Is a hundred bucks a reasonable price point? One hundred fifty? I found a box of CD-Roms and floppy disks in my mum’s basement and damnit, I want to play them! I could use emulators, DosBox or VMs but it’s never quite the same as having the real thing, so between an eBay mobo and a box of old parts I managed to build my new gaming rig to cover 1990-2005....

So…after watching latest Noclip video, I was having a bit of a Wipeout itch…I have a rather decent gaming computer, but I was wondering what would be the best way to play the wipeout series…was 2097 the best one? Is there a good way to get it running at decent resolution/effects these days?...
