It’s been a long while since i used a desktop and honestly can’t remember what antivirus software i used, and even then, probably the landscape has changed over the years....

Both are federated right? Getting a bit confused - are they interchangeable? Can I view lemmy posts/communities in Mastodon? Similar to how I can view lemmy.ml content with a lemmy.world account?

I’m desktop-only user and never had any experience with Reddit/Lemmy apps, and the sentiment towards them confuzes me....

Is it all from the same company? Or do multiple terrible cake companes all just share the same terrible formula?

I’m wondering if it’s financially worth it to cover the $5/mo membership....

I have noticed lately that a lot of users on Lemmy spell whining as “whinging” what’s up with that? I could understand if it was misspelled “wining” or somthing but that extra g really confuses me. Is this a misspelling specific for some region or is it lingo of some sort?
