james OP , 11 months ago I don’t think I’ve ever discovered projects by perusing GitHub. It’s always the “fork this” link on a project page or a link from an article. I’ve learned I don’t use most of the internet the way everyone else does, so my anecdotal evidence is nothing to go by. 🤣
