Mostly the title, but it would be nice to have more options now that Reddit and Twitter have alternatives. I would love to see a YouTube and ticktock version. Maybe even an instagram as well.

Lemmy seems to be incredibly slow, 2+ second delay in any action through lemmy.world even after restarting the browser. it wasnt like this the other day but now its basically unusable. Any suggestions?

I’ve heard a few people on here are starting their own personal instances so they can federate independently with different instances without relying on a larger, third-party instance. If I wanted to do this, would I need to own an actual server, separate from my PC?

When I subscribe in a community in another instance it always says "pending " in yellow. I can comment but I am not officially subscribed to the community. E.g. subscribing to “!nostupidquestions”...

It’s one of my favorite features from Reddit. Especially the wiki (assuming it’s updated) is useful to quickly get an overview of things to refer to. Also love seeing the unique community themes on subreddits like on old.reddit.com

Does anybody knows how long it takes to sign up for the Lemmy.ml instance with an account? It would give me the green wheel and I don’t know if I have to wait “x” amount of time or it’s just not possible at this time.

Bad title but previously on subscriptions or home, there would be 4 (or maybe 5?) videos per row. Now it’s 3 and the thumbnails are bigger. It’s very annoying cause I have to scroll more and I don’t see the need to have the thumbnails be so large....

Someone posted how can we communicate with a blind person as a joke but got me thinking how is it done with both blind and also a deaf.

Recently when following a link to Wikipedia, there in the text my reading was interrupted by a word that just looks ugly: “possesses”. I find it a massively disturbing eyesore. Can I complain somewhere for that word to be changed?

I just found out @Midwest.social exists after finding the Chicago community there. I was trying to list out other communities on that instance and couldn’t quite figure it out. Do I have to visit Midwest.social in order to list them, or is there a way to do it from lemmy.world?

I can only log in when I change my password. I do not know why this happens or how to solve it. The log in button keeps spinning but it does nothing. There must be something I am missing but I don’t know what. I am sorry.

Every time I try to spread butter or jam over a slice of toasted bread using a steak knife instead of a butter knife, I never seem to be able to spread the topping that evenly....

Can i move my account to some other server?
