I’m not in love with YouTube, and it only lets me upload a small number a day. Is there a good alternative?

As a disclaimer, I am a passive hater of Twitter/X ie I don’t like it as a toxic social media platform and haven’t used it but I am not asking the users to move to Threads or some other fediverse alternative as a paid promoter. Also I don’t really intend to keep a strict tab on its status since I get any related major...

I think the reason some people might believe this claim is because we’re taught in school that the moon’s gravity causes the tides. I think the reasoning goes, “well if the moon’s gravity can affect the tides, surely it can affect smaller things too”

Is it used to make headlines/posts more catchy? Does it have any logical explanation?...

I gather some server is for some arcane reason censoring naughty words to protect our delicate sensibilities. Is it on my end, on lemmy.ml? Is it the server people are posting from? Is it something happening in the federation? Is it the Romulans?

I uninstalled the Fuelly app now that it has become hot garbage, everything is a subscription service even though it’s just a simple Excel sheet. I could go back to using an excel sheet, but I was curious if anyone has any recommendations. TIA!
