I feel like with rampant bot/AI posting the traffic into social media sites are being spoofed. And companies know this and allow it to happen because it will inflate the ad value and then the stock value. Is this true to an extent or is this taken into account?

There’s a specific comment I’m trying to reply to in the lemmy.world/c/games community, agreeing with how much I love a game they mentioned. But after drafting the message, on mobile it just acts like I haven’t pressed the button. On desktop, there’s and endless loading circle....

I feel like often people ask me “Oh yea? Name some examples.” and the burden is on me to prove something by providing representative examples.
