Netanyahu was shilling for the invasion of Iraq to Congress in 2002. He was quite happy to send Americans to die to rid Israel of one of its nemeses. Saddam Hussein, as a Baathist (a pan-Arab nationalism) was a supporter of Palestinian liberation and had fired scud missiles at Israel during the first Gulf War.
