Washington had a giant plantation, Adams was an incredibly successful lawyer, one of the most prominent in the Massachusetts Colony and in high demand, Jefferson was also a plantation owner and even richer than Washington, Madison was also a plantation owner. Monroe was probably the poorest and he still owned slaves and land, and John Quincy Adams was John Adams’ son, so we don’t need to go into that. Shall I keep going?
