I’ve only ever heard Beryl as a woman’s name, although I don’t see a problem with a man or a nonbinary person using it. It’s a bizarre claim though. It’s like saying Mary is a ‘nonbinary name.’ Technically true because Donald is also a nonbinary name for the same reason.
