See, the thing is, they’re born already trained in the womb to be terrorists. It’s shocking, I know, but they come out with little rifles. Source: Probably something said by a Zionist.

She’s obviously pro-Hamas. You can see it clearly, she hates Jews and wants Israel destroyed!

So do i

She said she’s received comments accusing her of not caring about “all kids.”

The all lives matter crowd strikes again. Imagine raising money for breast cancer research and having some dipshit yell at you for not caring about prostate cancer. People are cruel

BubbleMonkey ,

Are you using that example because you know it happens?

Because you know that happens, right?

Lots of dudes are super butthurt (pun very much intended) that breast cancer gets all the awareness (eg pink athletic merch during breast cancer month), and not their man-only cancer which they don’t advocate for at all outside of complaining.

NOT_RICK ,
@NOT_RICK@lemmy.world avatar

Yup. They complain there’s no prostate cancer awareness month and then don’t even realize it’s September. Same thing with international men’s day.

BubbleMonkey ,

Excellent, thank you, I just wanted to make sure because some people unironically believe this thing and… well, anyway 🫡

Makhno ,

Yup. They complain there’s no prostate cancer awareness month and then don’t even realize it’s September. Same thing with international men’s day.

Because literally no one cares. Like that’s the problem. Dudes don’t even know they have that shit because no one gives enough of a fuck to tell them

gregorum ,

Why is it anyone else’s responsibility to keep them informed?

Besides, I see information, ads, etc. (not to mention suggestions from my doctor) about various health issues including prostate health. It’s not someone else’s job to care for you as a grown adult.

Cosmonauticus ,
redisdead ,

Realistically though, when you start advocating for men issues you get immediately cancelled for being a men rights activist serial rapist who hates women, so I get why most men don’t speak up.

When society constantly reminds you that you and your feelings don’t matter, you never bring them up.

callouscomic ,

I feel like every other commercial on TV is for that crooked dick condition though.

Forever there was plenty of viagra marketing. There was long jokes and commentary about how so many men’s issues are just accepted and known but many women’s issues ignored. Breast cancer is basically the one thing that really broke out.

Also, it’s not a contest. We should want everyone to be healthy.

There’s also lots going on with prostate cancer research and awareness. Just because it’s not a big or you aren’t personally noticing it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. September is prostate cancer awareness month.

redisdead ,

You’re right, it’s not a contest, everyone should be healthy.

So why is nobody like actually talking about men’s issues? Why is mentioning them a good reason to get labeled a mra incel?

And before people come up with ‘september is prostate cancer month’, 'international men’s day exist ’

Yeah, but who’s actually talking about them?

Here every other ad is about HPV swabs and other women’s issues.

gregorum ,

Just because you personally aren’t hearing about it doesn’t mean people aren’t talking about it.

redisdead ,

The only time you hear about it is when a feminist uses it to dismiss the opinions and feelings of men.

In reality nobody gives a flying fuck. Nobody wears anything on their lapel to virtue signal about it. There’s no special edition news report dedicated to it, etc.

gregorum ,

If that’s the only time you ever hear about it, perhaps that’s suggestive of the types of conversations you have. I’ve never had that problem.

Or maybe stop listening to all the bullshit that Fox News and Newsmax keep telling you.

redisdead ,

Case in point…

gregorum ,

And how’s that? You’re the one who keeps bringing up how “oppressed” men supposedly are while blaming the terrible mean women for it. I sure haven’t seen any of that, and here you are, insisting that the absence of it here is somehow magical proof you’re right, lmao…

redisdead ,

Notice how I haven’t blamed ‘women’ for anything.

But sure, do go off about how I supposedly watch Newsmax and fox news.

Never question yourself.

gregorum ,

Everyone here noticed how you did blame women

redisdead ,

At no point I did. But again, it’s easy to dismiss people’s opinions and feelings when all you have to do is paint everyone you disagree with as a woman hater so I understand why you did so.

gregorum ,

It’s easy to dismiss your opinion because it’s sexist garbage

redisdead ,

Exhibit A.

gregorum ,
redisdead ,

Exhibit B.

gregorum ,

Yes, the evidence that expressing your sexist opinions and “feelings” has consequences. Facing the consequences of your own actions is not a state of victimhood.

Exhibit C

gregorum ,

Facing the consequences of your own actions is not a state of victimhood.

Exhibit D

gregorum ,

Facing the consequences of your own actions is not a state of victimhood.

redisdead ,

It must be easy winning arguments on the internet when everyone you disagree with is a racist sexist bigot.

I hope you have the day you deserve.

gregorum ,

Facing the consequences of your actions is not a state of victimhood.

redisdead ,

Oh believe me, I’m not the victim here. Bless your heart.

gregorum ,

Facing the consequences of your actions is not a state of victimhood.

redisdead ,

Bless your heart

gregorum ,

Facing the consequences of your actions is not a state of victimhood.

redisdead ,

Man I understand why right wing cucks call you guys NPCs lmao

gregorum ,

Facing the consequences of your actions is not a state of victimhood.

gregorum ,

Well, now, I suppose that depends on the issue. I’ve openly discussed and raised awareness for prostate cancer before and haven’t run into this problem.

Perhaps it’s your approach… or the specific issues you’re raising?

chonglibloodsport ,

No, the problem with the pink ribbon campaign is that it raises money for a foundation which has an unsavoury reputation and spends far more money on its own salaries (especially the CEO’s) than it gives to research for a cure.

StaySquared ,

You have to be a real sick bastard to hate another person who cares and is trying to do something for helpless children. Good grief.
