Utah forced to move hotels at NCAA Tournament after ‘racial hate crimes’

Green said the team, cheerleaders and members of the school band were walking to dinner when a truck approached the group, revved its engines before someone in the vehicle shouted the n-word.

Far-right extremists have made a presence in the region. In 2018, at least nine hate groups operated in the region of Spokane and northern Idaho, including Identity Evropa, Proud Boys, ACT for America and America’s Promise Ministries, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

So many stupid, so very fucking stupid people in the US.

It’s true, but Idaho, especially the northern Idaho panhandle, is particularly bad. There’s a history of white supremacy, with the Aryan Nations compound that was located there, apparently funded in part by Sea Monkeys. Allie Brosh mentions living near them in one of her books.

I thought by the title something like this happened in Utah. But based on the article, it was Utah’s team that this happened to. They were staying in coeur d’alene, which is known as white pride country.

It’s troubling that it would be believable either way.

I shave my head when my hair gets long enough that it annoys me because I don’t like going to get my hair cut. Unfortunately, because of that, I’ve had more than one person say, “white power, brother” to me. If only they could see me with my Jew-fro I get if I don’t do that. I mean the nose should have been a giveaway.

it’s Idaho, the Alabama of the north.
