It’s harder in modern hospitals; they tag each child with an ID band the moment (like, within seconds) they’re out of mom which corresponds to the mother’s own ID band. Not to say it’s 100% foolproof in case a baby is improperly tagged, but you have a likelier chance of being implanted with the wrong embryo during IVF than of a baby swap happening after birth these days.
