I agree that abuse and neglect could very well be the root of many, many ills in society. And we should be doing much better about preventing it and protecting children.

While many survivors don’t go on to become violent nor develop antisocial personality disorders, some few do. And then those few cause pain and suffering for many especially if they get into positions of power.

This guy was not the average American. It isn’t typical to do what he did. Surely you don’t really think that.

I think it is quite likely he suffers from a severe, untreated mental health issue and/or was severely abused, but I’m not a psychiatrist and even if I was you can’t diagnose someone reading about them in a news article.
