What’s the news angle, here? It’s a tragedy, sure, but does the fact that someone died make it news?

To get readers.

Lmaydev ,

Perhaps to remind people to teach their kids what to do if mommy or daddy falls down and won’t get up.

Lmaydev ,

It’s a rare and tragic occurrence that raises awareness about teaching your kids what to do in an emergency.

So I’d say yes.

Lmaydev ,

I have type 1 diabetes and taught my kids from a very young age how to call 999 on the house phone if daddy wouldn’t wake up.

Told them to just repeat that I wouldn’t wake up and was poorly and hope the operator figured it out

It’s the only reason I had one. I figured as it was a house phone the emergency services would be able to get the address.

The kid? I mean it works but life alert might be cheaper.

The house phone (landline), not the kid

Lmaydev ,
