Treczoks , in At party's convention, GOP sticks to the message that migrants are dangerous in spite of facts

Why would he stop lying? Lies are a key factor of his success.

As Adam Savage said “I reject your reality and substitute my own.”

Amanduh , in Man who escaped Oregon prison 30 years ago was found in Georgia with a stolen identity, authorities say

He was within 4 years of release when he escaped according to the article? I wonder if he only has to do those 4 or if he’ll die in prison

catloaf , in Drug Traffickers Said They Backed an Early Campaign of Mexico’s President. But U.S. Agents Were Done Investigating.

Why would this be the US’s concern? Like I understand why you’d not want a corrupt neighboring government, but if said government also isn’t interested in becoming less corrupt, then yeah running an investigation and report on their behalf would be a waste of time. If it was for the benefit of Congress, it would make sense, but it doesn’t look like it was.

Ferrous , in Forced labour in China: 'Growing evidence" that Beijing forcibly transfers workers from Xinjiang to other regions within the country seeking to avoid Western sanctions

The US constitution explicitly allows slavery.

Pronell , in Forced labour in China: 'Growing evidence" that Beijing forcibly transfers workers from Xinjiang to other regions within the country seeking to avoid Western sanctions

Slavery is okay if the supposed Communists do it. That seems to be the consensus here.

I learned of the problems from the radio news on my way back home.

WindyRebel ,

CrowdStrike, not Microsoft, is responsible. Let’s put blame where blame is due.

This could happen to any OS that has cybersecurity where permissions are needed at deeper levels to protect systems.

What? He didn’t get put on temporary paid administrative leave? Is this the America I’ve come to know?

Reverendender ,

He wasn’t even transferred to a nearby jurisdiction. Something is very very wrong.

SnotFlickerman ,

I mean, this is Washington state, we’re not much better than anywhere else when it comes to police

Our Sheriff tried to hire one of these guys as recently as a few months ago and caught so much heat the guy resigned.

king5.com/…/281-0819c5cc-dffc-4949-b38a-ee62a7578…

We literally had state laws changed because of these violent sick assholes.

washingtonstatestandard.com/…/washington-senate-p…

Sheriff tried to hide behind “cleared of all charges” but citizens in the city (including someone who left Tacoma over police harassment because of their involvement with the case) lost their shit and called him the murderer that he is and he “resigned.”
