I actually watches the first season of the boys recently. Killer show. Its stunning that any real person could have ever looked up to Homelander in any capacity.
A long time ago I was but a young lad living in eastern Europe and I use to watch this cartoon. The actual content of this cartoon are lost to the ravages of my memory but a few things stood out, the main character had a flying board and the opening sequence was him flying through these hallways that were broken into geometric shapes and there was a big face that he flew towards.
Sometime later especially during university it became a recurring niggling idea. Did it exist or was it some dream or fantasy? I’d get enthused once in a while and try searching the depths of the net for it with no luck.
It wasn’t until I had graduated and was working, close to 20 years after the fact that I found it ! The name of this show is now imprinted on my brain.
The same thing happened to me with a few memories:
People turning into blocks and interlocking to form a city. It turned out to be Unico: Island of Magic.
Some evil guy crawling into a painting, and something about hair growing. This was a fucked up movie called The Peanut Butter Solution. This one legit scared the shit out of me as a kid and I had nightmares about it.
Man. Even if I DID think the whole “trans women are really men amirite LULZ” was funny at some point, it’s been their #OneJoke for like a decade now.
I love Tim Minchin, but if every comedian I followed only sang The Pope Song I’d be pretty fucking tired of it pretty fucking quick (or insert whatever song here that’s just stuck in my head at the moment lol)
While there’s a lot of bangers, I’m probably most fond of Cheese overall. I’m a simple man, the more resources you throw at a bit the happier I am. Hiring an orchestra to sing about cheese is basically peak comedy to me. :P
At the local bookstore yesterday, the girl burst over all excited to show me her new tabletop magazine. Only after I got home did my knowledge of my autistic friends and my own divergence set in and realize she might be into me.
That, or she was really excited about her mag and didn’t care who came in the door, they were getting assaulted about the new Pathfinder module 😛
Trump is cancer. But having Van Gogh memes and so on rolling on the socials just few hours after he was almost shot in he head an some guys end up dining was quite a shit-show to look at.
Nevertheless to quote Trump regarding the victim of mass shooting: “Get over it”
I dont know why this would be surprising. The man is a literal death dealer rapist who laughs at and mocks the misfortune of others. I wouldn’t ever expect any semblance of respect or sympathy towards him from the general public, not even for a second.
People are going to roast him every chance that they get, and I think it would be naive to act like he doesn’t deserve the treatment.
