I really hope you’re right. VR has a lot more long-term potential than most people realize, and if there’s a corporation in charge of it it’ll be worse
This goes against the whole concept of the metaverse, in metas own words “There won’t be a Meta-run metaverse, just as there isn’t a ‘Microsoft internet’ or ‘Google internet’ today”. By definition, if one corporation is in charge, it’s not the metaverse.
the project has already failed based on the initial release of their “metaverse” VR game. and whatever future plans they may have I guarantee they will either cancel it or release something completely underwhelming.
meta is nowhere close to their speculative implementation of the metaverse either, it’s just an attempt to build hype and keep investors interested until they forget about the whole thing in a few years
The meme jokes that they want documents for everything and a bit more, when you’re interacting with them. Even the school report with your notes from your second elemental school year. Latin American governments and their services are always like this, that’s why OP is calling it “fockin’ bureaucracy”.
Man those were the days! I loved scrubs! I remeber the episode where JD tells a joke about a moth going to a closed office but forgets the punchline. He proceeds to tell a story of the moth going about it’s day for like 5 mins and then remebers the punchline… Because the light was on. Kinda had to be there but man that had me cry laughing.
