Can somebody help me fix the sound in Robocop (2003) please?

I’m on Linux Mint 21.2, though I’ve tried installing this game on another Debian-based distro with the same results.

So, the game launches and everything seems to be perfectly in order, except there’s no sound.

Files in the game folder are .wav and seem to work perfectly when I launch them with Audacious.

There is no information online, it seems like I’m the first person trying to launch this game on Linux.

Here’s the log:

I tried posting this on Reddit and got no help. I was hoping here people might be more responsive.

Try using the latest GE version of Wine/Proton. Fixes most audio/video playback issues for me

molochthagod OP ,

Yeah, every time I tried, I used the latest GE version. Tried regular Wine and Proton too, and the result is always the same, I dunno what’s the deal with it.

silencer ,

Hey a Titus game! :) I’ll try running it here on Arch and report back.

molochthagod OP ,

Bless you, sir!

molochthagod OP ,

hey, so, any update there?

Caboose12000 ,

how are you installing it? I’ve never heard of this game and I’m honestly pretty new to Linux, but I’ve had nothing but smooth sailing adding old windows games to steam as non-steam games, then using proton to launch them.

molochthagod OP ,

I install it into Lutris and then try out different runners (Wine and Proton) to launch it with.
