I alternate between a PS4 controller and Switch Pro controller. Overall I think the PS4 controller is more comfortable and the touchpad on it is really convenient for using as a mouse.
it should be just ~/.local/share/Steam and like 2 or 3 other .steam files left in your homefolder. if that doesnt work you might wanna delete the config files for ProtonQt which if is a flatpak would be in ~/.var/app
I haven’t been following progress on Xe/Arc linux drivers, but my impression from a few months ago was that they were still a bit rough for gaming. Maybe things are improving? Intel already has an open-source driver, so they seem well positioned to (eventually) compete in this space.
If build quality matters to you, OP, this Gamers Nexus teardown might be worth a watch:
I never played Redout 2 but I played 1 and loved it, until I got to frustrated because I suck, lol. If you like Wipeout, especially the classic games you should definitely try BallisticNG it has a strong Wipeout 3 vibe but it is also really fast in becoming frustratingly hard. And BallisticNG has a native Linux port.
I use Audio Technica ATH-m50x through a Topping DAC. Honestly really like the Koss Studio headphones as well and that’s what I’m looking to pick up. Obviously not better than DT880 or some Sennheiser, but I like to buy cheaper headphones.
Well, I don’t really like headphones, so mostly I’m using my living room stereo like it’s 1987 and I just got my first Amiga.
I do have a pair of beyerdynamic DT 990 Pros (3.5 mm TRS) because they’re supposed to sound “neutral” and their main purpose is to aid in audio …“work”… and voice chat. But they’re just fine for gaming, I guess, and have been trouble-free and fairly pleasant to wear (as big headphones go).
