Open Source Hardware Recommendations
Does anyone have strong opinions on open source hardware? I’m finally at a point where I need to upgrade my laptop....

tl;dr In a recent thread on Mastodon, it was revealed that Ubuntu 23.04 users can’t install the Steam deb package from the Ubuntu archive without jumping through some technical hoops. It turns out this was a mistake, a bug was filed, and future builds shouldn’t have this problem....

Arch Linux keeps falling behind in package updates, basic packages like gdb and LLVM are newer in Fedora then in Arch, and Bash is newer in DEBIAN then in Arch. Why have package updates fallen so far behind?
I’m curious to hear thoughts on this. I agree for the most part, I just wish people would see the benefit of choice and be brave enough to try it out.

I have recently jumped head first into the Linux space. I’ve installed Arch on my daily driver and I’ve become overwhelmed/overjoyed with my options. I’d like to hear from the community about your Linux favorites....
There are multiple screenreaders but their voices simply suck. KDEs espeak has way worse voices than Android eSpeak for some reason....
